When I was young, I was really interested in NASCAR and circle track racing. As a teenager, I was out with some friends one night and one had his dad’s 5.0 Fox body Mustang. It was a stock 225 hp car but I thought it was a hot rod and I decided I needed one, too.
I worked at a local Chevy dealership and saved until I had enough to find a V8 Mustang. When I was 19, I bought a 5.0 LX. I raced it for a few years locally, then met Big Chief, Daddy Dave, and the local OKC/405 crew. I knew if I wanted to compete with them that I needed something faster and I needed a cage (because I never skimp on safety) and purchased my orange Mustang coupe.
The orange car ran 5.30s in the 1/8 mile on nitrous. As I got older, I fell in love with a friend’s Cutlass and got the same car. I spent countless hours working on it and wanted to get more serious about racing. I got my NHRA license in 2013 year and continued to race for several years.
Also in 2013, Street Outlaws came to town. I had raced a few times on the show and worked hard to be consistent enough to make the cut as a regular cast member. Since then, I have appeared on several episodes and am slated to be featured more in upcoming seasons.
All my life, I have been committed to racing. I don’t mess around when it comes to the sport and take what I do incredibly seriously. This isn’t a hobby for me, it’s my life and my passion. If I set my mind on achieving a goal, I won’t sleep until I make it happen.
